1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FirmwareShield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FirmwareShield provides automated firmware security analysis, including vulnerability detection, software bill of materials (SBOM) generation, credential scanning, and EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance assessment.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscription Plans & Payment
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice.
- Scan limits reset on each billing cycle. Unused scans do not roll over.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload firmware images that you do not have the right to analyze
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service
- Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties
- Upload malicious software designed to harm our infrastructure
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to firmware images you upload. We do not claim ownership of your firmware or analysis results. Our analysis reports and the FirmwareShield platform are our intellectual property.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that our analysis will detect all vulnerabilities, compliance issues, or security defects in your firmware. Our reports are informational tools and do not constitute legal advice or certification.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirmwareShield shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where FirmwareShield is incorporated.
